C.J. Hong

C.J. (Chang) Hong is a childrens writer with a passion for promoting literacy. With her stories, she hopes to help foster a love of reading in children. Picture books are her favorite genre for writing, and she was a finalist in that category in the 2019 Canadian Society of Childrens Authors, Illustrators and Performers Writing for Children Competition.

C.J. can often be found at the library, checking out as many books as she can carry, and enjoys volunteering at an elementary school to read with children. As a child, C.J. dreamed of becoming a stunt performer or an astronaut. As an adult, she is happy to experience thrills and space travel in movies, all from the safety of her cozy den. In her spare time, she loves to waltz and rumba, practice Kung Fu Fan and Tai Chi, and chat or play games with family and friends. She is repped by Jacqui Lipton.
