RAVEN QUILL LITERARY AGENCY
Raven Quill Literary Agency was founded in 2020 by Jacqui Lipton, to represent creators of books for children and young adults. Our team of agents and authors is dedicated to supporting each other and the children’s writing community in the new decade and beyond. We represent a select group of authors who bring diverse voices and perspectives into writing for children and young adults from picture books through early readers to middle grade and young adult novels and nonfiction. We work closely with each other and with sub-agents to build our clients’ careers in a collaborative and mutually respectful environment.
What makes us different?
Close client contact
We maintain a small, carefully curated list of clients and projects to ensure we can work closely and personally with each of our clients on each of their manuscripts.
Passion for our work
We only sign authors whose work we feel passionately about and projects where we feel we can add significant editorial and business value.
Culture of collaboration
We work for our clients and collaboratively with our clients to ensure all manuscripts sparkle when they go out on submission.
Full service agency
We provide a full service to our clients, attempting to sell and protect all marketable rights in every project.
360 ° vision
We look at each client’s career from all angles to ensure that each client has a personalized career development that meets the client’s needs and priorities.
We have the mad skills from editing to pitching to negotiating book contracts (along with the odd pep talk) that make all the difference to an author’s career. We may be small, but we’re scrappy!
Our team of dedicated and experienced agents strives to create a welcoming literary home for each of our clients. We take a hands-on, individualized approach to developing every client's career.
Our authors are a diverse group of creative artists writing for children of all ages. We represent authors of fiction and nonfiction from picture books through to books for older teens.
